Billing and Subscription Terms

Last updated 23 September 2026. These terms form part of the Terms of Service.

Your right to cancel, in short. If you are a consumer you have 14 days from the day you order to change your mind, and starting the subscription straight away does not take that right away. Cancel in Billing in the app, in your Onelink account at link.com, or by asking us on our contact page. Because you asked us to start during those 14 days, the law lets us keep a proportionate amount for the time you actually had access — measured against the whole term you bought and the total price you agreed, so an annual plan is measured against the year and not against a month. Our own policy is more generous than that: we refund the first payment of a first subscription in full. We never deduct a processing or administration fee from a refund. Full detail, with worked figures, on the refunds and cancellation page.

Prices are set in pounds sterling per seat and are the total you pay: we add nothing at checkout. Nikah AI Ltd is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT. Where UK VAT is due on the transaction it is already inside the figure shown and is accounted for by Stripe as merchant of record, not by us. If you pay in a currency other than pounds sterling, the amount shown on the checkout page is the total you pay. The price in the table is the price charged: nothing is added on top at checkout. The total for the number of seats you choose is shown on the Stripe checkout screen before you confirm.

Monthly usage allowances

The Ask-answer and grounded-brief-review allowances listed above are pooled across every member of a workspace and are counted per calendar month in UTC. A per-seat allowance is multiplied by the number of seats purchased, or by the number of members in the workspace if that is higher, and shared, not held individually. They reset at the start of each calendar month. When an allowance is exhausted, new AI answers and new grounded reviews stop for that workspace until the reset or an upgrade; nothing already stored is affected, and all other features continue to work. Cognivault does not offer a time-limited trial - the Free plan is available indefinitely.

Renewal

A paid plan renews automatically, at the same price, at the end of each billing period, until it is cancelled. Which period applies is the one you chose at checkout: a monthly subscription renews every month, and an annual subscription is charged once, up front, for twelve months (£120 per seat, so £360 for the 3-seat minimum) and renews every twelve months. The billing page inside the product shows the exact amount for the seats you choose before you are sent to checkout. The renewal is taken by Stripe using the payment method you gave it at checkout. No card details are entered on this site.

How to cancel

Payment for Cognivault is taken through Stripe Checkout, and an existing subscription is managed in Stripe’s own billing portal. This application records the resulting plan and status; it does not hold your payment method and cannot itself take or stop a payment. Open the billing portal from Workspace settings, under Billing, on cognivault-ai.com - which opens Stripe's billing portal. You can also cancel yourself in your Onelink account at link.com, or ask us through the form on our contact page and we will action it the same working day. and cancel there, or write to info@nikah-ai.com and we will action it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

You can cancel at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, with no further payment taken. If you cancel within fourteen days of your first payment we refund that payment in full, even if you have used the product. We always refund a double charge, a charge taken after you cancelled, a charge at the wrong amount, and anything you paid for and did not get. Your legal rights, including the Consumer Rights Act remedies if the service is faulty or not as described, are unaffected - and where Stripe took your payment, Stripe can refund you directly within sixty days whether or not we agree. The full policy is on our refunds and cancellation page. Statutory rights, including any cancellation right you have as a consumer, are unaffected.

Price changes

If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal and you will be told before it takes effect, with the opportunity to cancel first.

Cancelling versus deleting

Cancelling a subscription stops billing but leaves your account and workspace data in place. Deleting your account removes the data. It does not cancel a subscription held at Stripe, and it is refused while a workspace it would delete is still on an active subscription, so cancel first, then delete. Payment records (invoices, payments, refunds) stay in our Stripe account, held by Stripe as merchant of record, for six years from the end of the accounting period the record falls in, which is the retention HMRC requires of a UK limited company to meet accounting and tax obligations.
