Read this first: there is no self-serve password reset
We are being straight with you rather than showing you a button that does nothing. Cognivault does not currently send email. Our server can hand a message to the internet, but the large mail providers discard mail from a new sending address until it has a reputation, and ours does not have one yet. We confirmed that against a real mailbox: nothing arrives — not the inbox, not the spam folder.
So rather than offer you a “send me a reset link” form that would silently fail, we do it by hand, quickly, and we tell you exactly how. A reset you cannot complete is worse than no reset at all.
Before you ask: three things that are faster
- Check which address you signed up with. Your Stripe receipt names it, and Stripe’s receipts do arrive — they come from Stripe’s own systems, not ours. Search your mail for “Cognivault” or for a line beginning LINK.COM.
- Ask a colleague in the same workspace. Any owner or admin of your workspace can send you a fresh invitation link and copy it straight to you — Cognivault shows them the link on screen to pass on, precisely because we cannot post it for them.
- If your browser saved the password, look in its password manager before anything else.
Ask us to reset it
For your security we will not tell you whether an account exists for an address you type in, and we will not reset an account on the word of somebody who cannot show it is theirs.
What happens next, step by step
- Your request appears in our operations console immediately. It is not sitting in a mailbox waiting to be noticed.
- We check the account exists and that the details you gave match it. If anything does not line up we will come back to you for more before changing anything.
- We set a long random temporary password on the account and sign out every existing session — so if somebody else was in your account, they are not any more.
- We give you the temporary password on the route you used to reach us, and you change it the moment you are in. We never store it and it is not written to our audit record.
- Every one of these steps is recorded against the account with the date and who did it, so a disputed change can be reconstructed.
We aim to do all of that within one business day. If you are a paying subscriber and this is blocking you, say so in the message and we will treat it first — being locked out of something you are paying for is not acceptable to us either.
You can also email
info@nikah-ai.com receives mail reliably — it is the problem of mail leaving our server, not arriving at it. The form above is better only because it gives you a dated reference you can quote.
While you are locked out, your subscription
You can cancel a subscription without being able to sign in to Cognivault at all: it is in your Onelink account at link.com, because Stripe took the payment. You do not need us for that, and you should not be billed for a period you could not use — see refunds and cancellation, section 6.
